Acrylic dentures are made from high grade dental acrylic and are a more cost-effective way of replacing some missing teeth. Acrylic dentures are often a little bulkier and not as strong as other types of dentures.
Cobalt chrome dentures are generally a more permanent option than the acrylic; they are far less bulky whilst stronger to help resist the forces of day to day use, making them a far superior option than their acrylic cousin.
Thermo-sense dentures can offer great aesthetic options. The thermo-plastic resin that is used to manufacture these dentures allows a partial denture to be made without metal clasps. These dentures can only be used in certain cases, so an assessment is required to see if they are a suitable option for the patient.

Cleaning
There are lots of reasons a denture might break but, in most cases, we are able to repair them. Sometimes dentures can break because they don’t fit properly; if this is the case, we may need to do further maintenance to your denture to ensure this doesn’t happen again. It is highly advisable to avoid the use of super glue on dentures as it is poisonous and may also increase the cost of the repair to your denture.
If you currently have a partial denture and you lose another natural tooth, in most cases we are able to add another tooth to the existing denture. This will require an impression to be done and we will usually have your denture ready again that same day.
Sometimes when you receive new dentures they may require adjusting to fine-tune the base of the denture to fit your gums. We are also able to adjust older dentures if they are hurting your mouth.
To keep your dentures looking like new we offer a professional denture cleaning service. Additionally we carry a range of denture care products in the clinic from denture soaking solutions, adhesives and denture tooth brushes.
Implants
IMPLANT RETAINED OVER DENTURE
Dental implants have been used for over 50 years and are made of high-grade bio-compatible titanium. Dental implants will stop the problem of loose lower dentures and make eating and speaking possible again.

Immediate Dentures
FULL DENTURES MADE PRIOR TO EXTRACTION
In some cases it just isn’t an option to keep your natural teeth and they may need to be extracted by the dentist. An “immediate” denture can be made prior to natural teeth being extracted, allowing the patient to have dentures straight after natural teeth are removed.
We make the denture at the clinic and the patient collects their denture prior to visiting the dentist for the extractions. The dentist removes the natural teeth and inserts the denture at the same appointment.
Denture Relines
SAME DAY RELINING TO IMPROVE COMFORT
Unfortunately when natural teeth are removed from the mouth the gums and bone start to shrink and change. This is unavoidable and will happen for everyone whom is missing natural teeth. As your gums shrink your dentures will become loose and may even hurt you when eating. To fix this problem it is necessary to have your dentures refitted, and that is called a “reline” or “rebase”.
We can reline dentures in the same day, therefore minimising the time you are without your dentures. We also offer the option of soft relines which can allow for a much more comfortable lower denture; as the name implies this reline is soft and spongy, therefore taking a lot of pressure off the gums for those people who suffer from constant pain and ulcers.
